Dance is nothing but a form of worship that unites the soul with the almighty. Classical Indian dance, especially Bharathanatyam is an art that guides and nurtures a healthy body and mind. To learn a divine art form such as this that has been passed down our heritage is a gift and at KQES, we believe in learning and practicing the art form in an enriching environment.

KQES in collaboration with Padmalaya Centre for Performing Arts provides a live online interactive course in Bharatnatyam. The course structure includes dance theory and live practice.

Padmalaya Centre for Performing Arts, Bangalore was founded in 1985 to teach Bharathanatyam and has since trained and introduced several young artistes to the stage. With over 4 decades of experience in the art form, Smt Padma Murali, the Founder Director of the centre, has performed and directed several ballets and presented varied themes to audiences in India and abroad. At PCPA, she believes that learning a dance form that is highly disciplined must nevertheless be enjoyable

With online teaching in Bharathanatyam, we are able to provide quality dance education to deserving students across geographies. Specialised modules have been created to suit individual requirements.

In a time when learning in large groups is the norm, the Guru is often unable to give adequate attention to every student. These modules of online learning enable a more individualized teaching programme taking into consideration the aptitude and pace of learning of the student.

Students who have learnt Bharathanatyam before will be enrolled into the appropriate levels based on their prior knowledge and technique. Students are encouraged to come to the Institute for additional workshops and certificate courses (during summer break for example). The workshops would be intensive courses held for a period of few weeks concluding in a stage performance by the student.
